Biography of Fujiwara no sukemitsu
- He is from an aristocratic family in Kyoto.
- Amagoyane is the seedling of life.
- He is the fifth grandson of Kyushu Dazai Shōni (Vice-Minister of Dazaifu) Fujiwara Hirotsugu.
- During the era of the 56th Emperor Seiwa, he was demoted to a post in Tsukushi because he did not take part in the conspiracy of Dainagon Yoshio Tomo, who was involved in a dispute over the succession to the imperial throne.
- On the way to his post in Tsukushi, he encountered a strong wind, and on November 1, 864, the ship carrying Lord Suei, his two sons, and 53 of his retainers docked at Miura.
(At that time, it is said that the ship of Lord Sukei's eldest son docked on the Boso Peninsula and was later enshrined at Hategiri Daimyojin.) - After arriving at Miura, Lord Suiei was appointed as the head of the Miura area and pacified the pirates in Boso.
- Duke Shiying also educated the local people (especially in fishing), laid the foundations for their culture, and at the same time enhanced their welfare.
- Because of these achievements, the local people held him in high esteem, and when the prince passed away in 866 AD, his body was sunk on Kagure Beach, and a shrine was erected to enshrine him.
